| Description | Cuffern is in Roch parish just over a mile east of the village and castle of Roch. John Stokes of Cuffern left it on his death to John Rees, son of Henry Rees of Roch. John Rees took the name of Stokes. He died in 1817 and Cuffern passed to his son John Stokes Stokes. He married Martha Bowen, daughter of Reverend James Bowen of Rhoscrowther and died in 1843 when Cuffern passed to his son John Stokes. |
