TitleCopy or draft of a letter from the Rev. William Evans at Upton Castle to an un-named addressee (probably Samuel Field). He has not yet received a remittance from Mr. White. He and his son Edward are short of cash. All his other sons would put him in a mad house again if they could. They have incurred debts of £2000 in his absence. He entrusts Edward to the care of the addressee should he be taken off again. He wants Edward to have the whole of his late mother's property in Oxfordshire
