TitlePart of a letter from Letitia Jones at 9 St. George's Terrace, Brighton, to Henry Davies. She comments on the recent triumph of Mr. Phillips' party in Haverfordwest. (This refers to John Henry Philipps' victory for the Conservative party in the Haverfordwest Borough election of Jul 1852). She hopes the violent passions aroused will soon die down. Brighton returned one Conservative and one "radical". It is a "sadly radical town" but a church rate is to be voted this year after a gap of eight years so matters must be improving
