Comprising: -

Précis of information and report, with maps & statistics, on the Nolton/Newgale Coalfield written and compiled by Thomas Wilfred Harcourt Roberts of Little Milford and intended as a contribution towards the formulation of schemes for post-war coal production. The papers include manuscript notes and various versions of typewritten chapters, some with manuscript amendments. The chapters include 'Historical', 'Geological', 'Old Workings', 'Tectonics and Faulting', 'Miscellaneous Information' and the report itself. The notes include copies of articles by earlier geologist such as Sir Henry T de la Beche in 1854. [3 bundles]
