| Description | This manuscript volume was compiled by William Cozens , son of John and Elizabeth, and was completed by 1887. It contains detailed narrative, newspaper cuttings and letters relating to the history and activities of the family, commencing with John's parents, Joseph Cozens, (born c.1755) and Elizabeth Jacobs, and with Elizabeth's parents John Francis (born 1783) and Martha Davies. These families came originally from the Slebech/Wiston area, but many of the branches seem to have settled in and around Haverfordwest. Some members of the family emigrated to America and to Australia. The book also includes Williams notes on the history of Wales and Pembrokeshire in particular. |
