TitleCourt book of the manor
DescriptionConstables and a bailiff are appointed at each court and from 1867 to 1907 a separate pound keeper.
Concern for the common begins to rival concern over sheep in this period. There are frequent applications to enclose or purchase parts of the common and many exchanges of pieces of land with the Precelly and Rosebush Slate Quarry Companies for use as tips etc. The boundaries are perambulated frequently. From 19O7 the court is largely inactive - it met to appoint constables but very little else. At the front of the book are the texts of the proclamation to open the court, the oath to the homage, other Jurors' oaths and the proclamation on closing the court
