| Description | Under the 1902 Education Act each school in the county had to make a return to the Board of Education. Questions had to be answered about the school's physical dimensions, its age, the number of pupils, the managers, the teachers and their salaries, and other subjects. There were some 34 questions in all on the forms. Consequently these returns are a mine of information on the schools of Pembrokeshire at the beginning of the century. |
