| Description | According to introductory remarks in the minute book number 5 on this list, the original church book starting in 1689 (DFC/C/8/1) was replaced by another in 1758 (DFC/C/8/2) which included a register of baptisms. When, in 1837, the register of baptisms was demanded by the Commissioners whose work culminated in the Non Parochial Registers Act 1840, the book was split and transcribed in 3 separate volumes: the minutes book (DFC/C/8/5), and registers of baptisms (DFC/C/8/3) and of church members (DFC/C/8/4) |
