(HDX/194/17-37 relate to the Orlandon estate in the parish of St Brides. This estate with other premises was in the possession of John Philipps Laugharne (d. 1814) and was the subject of a deed of settlement in 1783. This deed was lost from the time of his death until 1832 and the resulting confusion entailed a series of Chancery proceedings from 1821 to 1843
