The main collection of records from the Picton Castle Estate is in the N.L.W. in Aberystwyth. There are some deeds and a considerable number of manorial records in the R. T. P. Williams collection in this office (D/RTP/PIC). The collection listed here is a small one. It has been listed under the following headings:-

Sir Henry Erasmus Edward Philipps died 23rd May, 1938 and was followed by his son Sir John Erasmus Gwynne Alexander Philipps who died 27th November, 1948. He appointed his sister Sheila Victoria Katrin Plunkett (later Lady Dunsany) his sole executrix and where she appears in deeds in this collection, it is in her capacity as his personal representative.
