TitlePetition of complaint from Lewis March of Shamber in the Isle of Wight to Edward Hyde Earl of Clarendon, Lord High Chancellor of England. The petitioner claims that he is the rightful heir to properties of his grandfather Stephen March and his father David March in the parishes of Norwood, Newport, Brixton, Shafflet, Newchurch, Newton and Godshill in the Isle of Wight; in the parishes of Milford, Fawley and Exbury in the county of Southampton; in the parishes of Sutton and Lymister in Sussex; and in the parishes of Platford, Landford and Wellow in Wiltshire. He claims that the deeds, evidences, leases and other writings pertaining to the lands in question are in the hands of the executors of his uncles John, Edward and Stephen March and that they refuse to hand them over to him as his uncles had refused to hand them to his father before him. He asks the Lord Chancellor to intercede on his behalf
